what is DiseaseCDR

DiseaseCDR is a systems-level bioinformatics resource for studying the mechanism and regulation of regulated cell death in various kinds disease. In this database, gene regulators(include mRNA, lncRNA and miRNA), substance(include inducer and inhibitor), and diseases that related to 18 types of regulated cell death were manually collected from published literatures. Ensemble Learning algorithms was used to construct machine learning model to investigate disease specific regulated cell death gene regulators. We also connected the above-mentioned gene regulators with signaling pathways from the SignaLink 3.0 resource. DiseaseCDR helps the investigation of transcription factors, miRNAs and signaling pathways implicated in the control of the regulated cell death pathway. The list of such known and predicted regulators could be important in pharmacological attempts against cancer and regulated cell death related diseases.
